Greetings, I’m Mary, the founder of Empower U Today, passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to live their best lives.

As a psychosocial support coordinator and psychosocial recovery coach, I make a meaningful difference by helping participants achieve their goals, overcome barriers, and access the supports that they deserve.

Services provided at Empower U Today, tailored for the participants individual needs include:

• Medication support for safety and peace of mind

• Technology support to navigate devices and stay connected

• Coordination with all services to collaborate & ensure consistency

• Comfort and assurance during times of paranoia, distress, and anxiety

• Advocacy and support in medical settings and appointments

• Addressing complex barriers and comorbidities for access to appropriate supports

• Independent approach allows for personalised services that larger companies may not offer

• Focus on building genuine relationships

• Flexibility and responsive to participants’ needs with care and skill

As a psychosocial support coordinator, I will support you with:

• Manage challenges in support environments, especially complex barriers

• Identify, address obstacles preventing access & maintenance of support

• Design & implement service plans tailored to participants' unique needs & goals

• Promote collaboration between service providers, families, and carers

• Provide critical support during crises or unexpected situations

Beyond practical support, I offer:

• Empathy & intuition to recognise when participants aren’t feeling their best

• Active listening, advocacy, & ensuring that U feel heard & understood

• Strong commitment to safeguarding wellbeing under the NDIS Code of Conduct:

• Address safety or service concerns promptly

• Prevent & respond to violence, exploitation, neglect, or abuse

• Promote participants’ rights to freedom, self-determination, & decision-making

• Deliver all supports with integrity, care, & transparency

Extensive qualifications include:

• Certificate III in Individual Disability Support Services

• Certificate IV in Mental Health

• Diploma of Community Services (MH & AOD)

• Accidental Counselling

• Certificate 3 in Pathology collection (Phlebotomy)

• Micro Business Skill Set

• Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship

• Mental Health First Aid, 

• Suicidal Intervention Skills & Training to name a few qualifications

• Lived experience with ASD, severe ADHD, CPTSD, and depression enhances my empathy & insight.

• Understand the challenges of these conditions & the power to take charge of one's journey.

• Supporting participants to rewrite their story, overcome barriers, & achieve their goals
